ICE CREAM IN A BAG

Student Activity - June 2002
Welcome to almost summer!
This is a great math, language arts activity which results in a treat!

Ingredients for each bag: ice |

Directions:
Fill the gallon bag with
rock salt and ice.
Fill the quart bag with all of the food ingredients.
Insert the quart bag into the gallon bag.
Make sure that
both bags are closed.
Knead the bags
until the ice cream gets semi-solid. (It never gets really frozen like commercial
ice cream.)
Wipe the inside bag carefully with paper towels before allowing children to open.
Enjoy!
